Senior Business Analyst

Mark is a Senior Business Analyst at MAPS. Since joining the company, Mark has worked on a number of major projects for Customers across the education and healthcare sectors. His responsibilities include Project Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Process Mapping, Process Documentation, Business Intelligence Reporting, Software Testing, Pensions Data Analysis, Customer Liaison, Training and Support.

Mark is accredited by the Project Management Institute as a Professional in Business Analysis (PBA). He is a Certified Software Test Analyst (ISTQB) and Internal Auditor (ISO 9001, 27001 & 27701). He also has CompTIA Project+ Certification, ITIL Certification, as well as Data Modelling and Business Intelligence Reporting certifications.

He is proficient in applications including Microsoft Visio (BPMN 2.0), Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Oracle BI Discoverer, WordPress CMS, MySQL and CORE HR and CORE Payroll. He has extensive experience of Payroll Processing and Higher Education Payroll Requirements as well as Single Pensions Scheme and Model Pensions Scheme Member Data Analysis. Mark has excellent organisational, communications and documentation skills.

Mark is the MAPS’ Data Protection Liaison Officer (DPLO). In his role as DPLO, Mark has a direct input into developing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring an organisation-wide privacy Information management system (PIMS) along with the Management Team.

Mark is also the MAPS’ Risk Management Officer (RMO). In this role, Mark is responsible for supporting the team with risk monitoring and mitigation within the company.

Mark graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management in 2015. Previously, he achieved a Higher Certificate in Computer and Electronic System (GTI Galway) and an Honours Degree in Hotel and Catering Management (Galway Mayo Institute of Technology).
